On behalf of Peterseine’s Place 19:23 Inc. I am excited to announce that we are hosting our Launch Celebration #TurningPainIntoPurpose on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 12 pm. The event will be held in Fort Bend County at Bliss Event Venue, 1728 FM 2218 Rd, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

I am asking for you to make a difference by supporting our organization as the community gathers to support our teen parents within Fort Bend County (LCISD). There will not be an entry fee, however, to gain access, one will have to bring a baby item (diapers, wipes, formula, strollers, car seats, etc.) to enter. All items collected will go to Lamar Consolidated Independent School District Teen Parent Program. Kelle Kipping (LCISD counselor) and I have been working together since my non-profit organization started in August 2023.

I understand first-hand the trials and mental challenges that the teens will face during this life changing experience.

I was 16 when I had my son and at times, felt so alone. I was told I was a “statistic,” I would be on welfare, and I’d never succeed in life. I took all of the negative feedback, emotional harassment, bullying, and disappointing friendships and promised myself that I would be a statistic on a positive note (to succeed, to never be on welfare, and to be a successful business owner, mother and wife).  I understood that I made a choice, to take a chance, and now I’m making a change for those that will face the same challenges. I turned my pain into my purpose. My goal is to reach each School District in Houston to provide them with the same fundraising celebration (for the teen parenting program) that I’m bringing to Lamar Consolidated.

I am welcoming your presence as our students need to see that they have support at a much higher level. I also want you to witness the biggest baby shower in Fort Bend County as our community unites to support the teens.

We’ve networked and found phenomenal guests and resources such as continuing education, mental health, actors, artists, and special appearances.

You can request a sponsorship/registration form if you know of anyone that may be able to assist us with a sponsorship donation.

As a sponsor, their/your name will appear on the agenda. Depending on the donation level, options are available for table set ups and speaking time to discuss their/your business and opportunities. Please see attached form.

I know first-hand the uncertainties and humiliation the teens are subjected to because I became a teen parent at the young age of 16 so I created an organization to provide a safe place for mental, charitable and educational support along with resources needed to continue their education and to improve their quality of life for the future of their families.
